My primary requirements are that your dog is well-socialized with children and other dogs. When these conditions are met upon joining the pack, and with careful supervision, redirection, and positive reinforcement, I seldom encounter issues. Additionally, I limit the introduction of new dogs to a maximum of two within a pack to minimize new variables.
Why do you require a Meet and Greet?
A Meet and Greet allows me, along with my dog ambassador Aary, to assess your dog’s behavior within the pooch pack environment. Additionally, your dog will become acquainted and familiar with all the smells of the Pooch pack. When your dog arrives and leaves with you, and the experience is positive, they will expect the same upon return. Dogs don’t have a strong concept of time, so when they do come to board, they will remember that you will still leave together in the end. It’s very similar to how you arrived together; you’ll depart together.
How long have you been working with dogs?
I’ve been working with dogs professionally for 11 years as of August 2024. I’ve always been fond of all animals, and have understood and had a reciprocal relationship with dogs. My very first “job” caring for dogs was at about age 6. Each winter, my grandparents traveled south and left their two Pekingese dogs with my family. My job was to give them a large milk bone each for breakfast every morning while they were away. These repetitive tasks laid the foundation for my understanding of and connection with dogs, shaping neuropathways in my developing brain.
My job brings me immense joy and fulfillment. While it can be challenging and tiring at times, my deep-seated passion for caring for dogs makes it all worthwhile. Even during the routine parts of my work, I find myself operating on autopilot because dog care is ingrained in my psyche.
My dog has a medication/special request, can you accommodate that?
In most cases, I can accommodate special requests such as medication administration at specific times and preparing meals with multiple components. Over my years of experience, I’ve cared for a variety of dogs with diverse needs, including diabetic dogs, epileptic dogs, puppies, and seniors. Your dog’s well-being and comfort are my top priorities, and I’m committed to providing the care and attention they require.
What is Time to Pet?
Time To Pet is pet sitting software for dog boarding and walking companies. I use it to stay organize, store veterinary records, send invoices, and make sure that I am able to focus on giving your dog the highest quality of care.
